Alex Sandweiss has been involved with music since before he was born. Whether it be playing beats while in the womb or singing as soon as his head popped out, music has been a part of his life for longer than his life has existed. At the age of 5 he started taking traditional piano lessons. The moment he started changing the established classical music into his own work of rock, he knew it was time to move on to another type of playing and performing. He soon was able to play solely by ear and fell in love with rock piano, jazz, and blues. He formed a great fondness for Van Morrison and modeled and mirrored his musical skill after the great one. He began to learn a few full compositions every day.

Alex taught himself how to play drums and guitar and has also played the clarinet throughout the years. He is a song writer for various types of genres and absolutely loves to perform. Alex played in the top Jazz Band every year in high school and was honored with the Louis Armstrong Award during his senior year. He was also part of an assortment of rock bands throughout his high school career and met brothers Jimi and Tom Cracovaner on a trip to Israel during his freshman year in college. He immediately joined Triple Double Band when they arrived home and has been contributing to their sound at live shows ever since.

Dispatch, The Rocket Summer, Guster, Sherwood, Less Than Jake, and Goldfinger are currently the top musical role models for Alex. There is nothing he would love more than to play on the same stage as any one of these excellent groups with the same exuberance and excitement they display night in and night out.
